Who can apply

Entry requirements

Admission is based on your high school results or the equivalent in your country.

  • You have graduated from high school or an upper-secondary vocational school abroad, with a qualification equivalent to Vietnam's.
  • English-taught programs: English at Level 3 or higher of Vietnam's 6-level framework, or an equivalent certificate. Native English speakers and applicants who finished high school in English are exempt.
  • Vietnamese-taught programs: a foreign language at Level 3 or higher and Vietnamese at Level 4 or higher. Applicants below Level 4 in Vietnamese take a preparatory course first.
  • First-year students study at Campus 1 (298 Cau Dien Street, Hanoi), Campus 2 (Tay Tuu, Hanoi) or Campus 3 (Phu Van, Ninh Binh); from the second year, at Campus 1 or 2.

One complete set in Vietnamese or English, notarized or certified, scanned into PDF.

  • Application form for international studentsThe university's prescribed form.
  • High school diploma or equivalentNotarized or certified copy.
  • Transcripts for grades 10, 11 and 12Notarized or certified copies.
  • PassportValid for at least one year from the date you apply.
  • Medical certificateFit for study abroad, issued within 6 months before you apply.
  • Certificate of no criminal record
  • 4 x 6 cm photoTaken within the last 6 months.
  • Proof of English or Vietnamese levelIf it applies to you.
  • Certified translationsFor any document not in Vietnamese or English.

Scholarships

Your costs, covered*

100%tuition scholarship for up to 4 years (retaken and improvement courses excluded)
100%dormitory support for up to 4 years in rooms for 3–4 students (electricity and water excluded)
VND 2Mmonthly allowance for a Good conduct rating and a semester GPA of at least 2.5/4.0

*For non-agreement international students, awarded within annual quotas based on admission results, program, nationality, language level and converted high school grades.
